Goodbye

My dad passed away in January this year 2 weeks before my mom's birthday. He had become sick quickly starting in August. He was sent to La Jolla to have surgery for Appendiceal Cancer. The surgery was successful and doctors expected him to pull through and recover. However, he developed an infection which caused his kidneys to fail and eventually took his life 7 days after surgery.
I flew to California to be with my mom while he was recovering in the ICU. My mom didn't tell me until I stepped off the plane that he was going to die that day. I walked into his hospital room and within the next 15-20 minutes he passed away. This was truely the worst day of my life and I will miss him sooo much. He will always be in my heart!

Night shifts are WAAAAY over rated. It is 4in the morning my back and my neck hurt and my contacts are so dry they feel like sandpaper in my eyes. I am so sick of helping moms to breast feed their exhausted newborns that are too tired to breastfeed and deal with annoying screaming babies. I need my bed I need a day off....uggh

Amazing head board and chandelier

Ive been looking at some bed frames to go with my antiqued black painted dresser I got a couple years ago. Nothing Ive seen has really stuck me as "amazing" or "have to have it" until I saw this one just googling online. Check it out......its beautiful isnt it? I want it! Or something similar anyways!

Phoenix Apartments

We have been looking at some apartments/housing in the Phoenix and Glendale areas and have found these super cute apartments made by Trillium. I will post the links so you can check out how cute they are.

As much as I dont want to move away I am getting more excited about the change after looking at how we might be able to live in a nicer place than where we are currently. I do worry about my little guys pasty whiteness though. How is a redheaded fair skinned child going to survive in the Phoenix sun. Poor guy, he didn't get his moms skin tone. He is going to FRY!! Bring on the SPF 50 it will be a house hold stable.

ACCEPTED!

Scott was accepted into medical school at Midwestern University this week. Midwestern is in Glendale AZ just outside of Phoenix. I think I have not entirely grasped the concept that life will be drastically changing once again. I mean I'm excited but I'm scared and a little indifferent about the idea of moving away from family and friends. This is going to be a journey thats for sure. I do have to state that I am sooooooooooooooooooooo ready for Phoenix weather....bring it on baby.

Blowing "smoke"

So I just have to say how annoyed I am today. I called Kade's pediatrician around noon to see if he needed to come in and be seen. He didnt have a wet diaper in over 36 hours and he was refusing to eat and drink. He threw up five times and still had a hacking mucousy cough. He didn't call me back till 5 pm and he treated me like I was a retard and just over reacting about how sick Kade has been. He said, "He sounds fine". Then I asked if he needed to come in for a follow up apt. and he said, "Well I guess we could, but not for like 10 days". What a jerk! I need a new pediatrician!

project update

Well I got the room painted with the help of Whitney and Kara. There are only a few little touch up jobs and other than that it turned out really cute! We painted the room colonial yellow, brown with a very small amount of light green. It looks awful with the orange carpet that is in there right now but next week that old nasty 70's stuff will be replaced with a neutral brownish brand new carpet. All of the trim work in the room in bright white and it makes it look very finished. It was a fun project that involved minimal arguing haha. I worried about how Kade would act while we worked on the project and he had an even harder time than what I had imagined. He got two ear infections and RSV. So I had to take him to the doctor while I was in Idaho. They but him on antibiotics and nebulizer treatments. The poor thing was so sick he couldn't even walk he just wanted me to hold him and rock him. I felt so bad for him. He is doing much better now and I am hoping for a full night of sleep tonight!

Home to Idaho

Today I am going home to visit my mom and help her repaint while they are installing new carpet in her house. It will be a fun project if I can keep Kade under control. Knowing Kade he will be stripping down to his diaper and rolling around in the paint buckets so I will have to keep a close watch on that child! Wish me luck with my projects this week!
